The UK's biggest credit card provider Barclaycard are considering introducing a "low usage" fee for customers who do not use their debt facility.
In bid to encourage customers to spend more on their credit cards, Barclaycard are looking into implementing the charge, which could leave a dent of upto £20 per year in the wallets of card owners.
According to industry sources, if Barclaycard carry out the threatened charge, other providers will follow their lead.
