Credit Action have advised customers to ensure they fully understand everything about the credit card they're using to avoid piling up significant debt.
The group say that most people only look at the positive features that are advertised with a credit card without doing research and comparisons with other plastic.
Director of Credit Action, Chris Tapp added that to avoid credit card debt, one piece of advice holds true for all cards. He stated, "Wherever possible, make sure that what you are borrowing on the card you can afford to pay off the next month."
